4.1.2.2 Replacing the sponge in the spitting box.

Notes

•

Use gloves and tweezers to change the absorbent in the flushing box.

Step 1 : Go to the WiperClean menu and DON’T press enter when in it.

Going to the WiperClean menu will unlock the head

Step 2 : The carriage moves to the waiting position for replacing the flushing sponge.

Step 3 : Remove the old absorbents with tweezers. (See image below)

1 = Sponge (KY-42889)

2 = Tweezers

3 = Gloves

Step 4 : Install the new absorbents in the flushing box.

Notes

• Make sure that the 2 holes are on the right side of the flushing box and that the pins of the black box

are in the holes of the absorbent.

1 = Two holes

2 = Pin of black box

Step 5 : Close the front cover and press the [ENTER] key in the active display (=WiperClean menu). The

head will cap in and be locked.
